Audible alert when callers are 'On Hold' or parked

G'day all,

A client of ours has requested an audible beep or tone to come from their phone when a caller has been on hold or parked for longer than 30 seconds. Client is using Yealink T46U's across their organization and are on V20. I can vaguely recall this being an option at some point but I may be getting my wires crossed. Is anyone aware if this is a configurable feature for 3cx? Or, perhaps even something that may be custom configured on the Yealink device itself?

Thanks Alphabetic, I think this is actually the setting I remembered. I would need to apply this at a department level though and I'm not sure that's possible with v20.

This option is currently applying globally to the PBX, however in V20 you also have the option when auto-unpark to send the call to a Call Processing script. This can give you more options in this case:

I don't believe there is any setting for calls placed on hold. The setting above is just for parked calls. Curiously, there is no event I can find for when a call is placed on hold. If you monitor the call using Wireshark in the SDP there is an indication that the call was placed on hold, but there is no way I know of in 3CX to subscribe to any event that would notify you that a call was placed on hold or taken off hold. I wish there was.
