Audio conference problem from Windows 3CX application

Hello Friends,

Right now we are using V18 in the 3CX self hosted server. We are facing issue with audio conference call to external number. i am using siptrunk.com 4 channels. when i click on add more people and add external number it is always saying call failed - redial. Though the channel is free still it shows error call failed - redial. i have tried to call different external numbers but the same is happening. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to have a audio conference with two external numbers? User says that they used to do it but now they are unable to do this

When i tried using web client i was able to make conference call wit two external numbers but with 3cx desktop app it is not working. Any help?

If you can make external calls in general what I'd recommend you check first is the conditions on your Outbound Rules. Specifically check the Extension and Extension Group conditions:


If all rules have either of the two then that's probably why these calls are failing. Conference calls are placed by the system so they will not match Outbound Rules that require the call to have been placed by an extension. You will either have to create an Outbound Rule with no extension restrictions or add extension 700 to your existing outbound rule.

If the above is not the case, I recommend replicating the issue and then taking a look at the Event Log in the 3CX Management Console Dashboard to see what errors you get for these calls.
