Hi,
I recently got an issue on one of a customers computer. He uses a Mac M1.
Actually he can't use the 3CX App nor the Webclient for phone calls. Both won't transfer any audio (no sound, no mic working).
We tested 3cx app directly as well as web client on Brave Browser and Chrome Browser. Same result on all three.
We deleted the 3cx app and resetted the browsers as well as deleted all possible rules in firewall / authorization in Chrome.
Then started from scratch. Still same result, no audio no mic.

Video calls are working without any issue. So it seems something is wrong here on 3cx side. Could you investigate here?

Phone system is latest v18 update 3, all updates done. Hosted in azure. Lots of clients on this phone system with no issues, so I would exclude any issue with the install.

Thanks in advance

Best regards, David

Hi!

Do you have a different headset to try? Also stay away from Brave as we have heard it do weird things in the past, prefer Chrome or Edge.
Also, in the WebClient, in Settings --> Audio/Video have selected the right audio devices?

Last question, do you not hear audio in neither direction? What happens when you open youtube, can you hear the audio of videos then?

Hi Nick,

I already stated in my opening post: I tested it with Chrome as well. No audio in both directions. No matter if I use the Desktop Mac App or Webclient in Chrome.

Audio in general is working. I stated as well that even Video Calls with 3CX are working great with no issues. So YouTube works good as well.

Even a Windows VM used with RDP from Mac M1 works with full audio even in 3cx calls.

In Webclient Settings --> Audio/Video settings are fixed to standard and cannot be changed. But that lead us to the real "issue". This specific client uses an IP phone (Fanvil X3S) at home. He forgot to switch to use calls over WebClient. So all calls went to the Fanvil.

We switched device to Webclient and gave a short training to the client. Problem solved. Sorry for bothering you. Thread can be closed / deleted.

Best regards

David

Great to hear this David.

I will mark this as 'Solved'.
