Hello,
We have bought several new Dell computers Small Form Factor with combo jack on front (Optiplex 5080, 5090) and Precision 3450. We have installed all newest drivers from Dell page based on the Serial Number and Waves MaxxAudio Pro application. Without this application Windows 10 does not recognize Headset and microphone at all.

After that we have installed 3CX Client for 3CX Phone System Version 16.3.220 on each computer.

Additional settings:

Transport SIP: UDP
RTP mode: Normal
DTMF mode : RFC 2833
Audio Codecs:
G.722
PCMU
PCMA

Audio options:
Deleting echo: enabled

Users complaining about poor audio quality, when speaking with other people that are located outside of the company.

Additional setting from Windows:

Additional setting from Waves MaxxAudio Pro:

MaxxBass and details: set to 0
Waves NX: Disabled
Microphone:
enhancemnets disabled,
Noise protection:disabled

I have created support case at Dell but with no luck so far. I have tried to update Realtek Driver to Realtek High Definition Audio but in that case there is no microphone recognized within Control Panel > Sound. It looks like Dell is requiring its own Application for headest to be properly recognized in Windows.

Any idea how to try improve Audio quality? Any suggestion much appreciated,

There is no problem with old computers that have two audio ports, sound + microphone separately in front or in the back. In that case there is no need for additional application, only Realtek Driver is required.

When you say "when speaking with other people that are located outside of the company" do you mean external calls to external numbers or extension to extension calls involving 3CX Clients that are not on the same LAN as the PBX?

If it is calls with external numbers only, does that mean that extension to extension calls work just fine? If yes, the issue might not be related to the PCs.

Also, the 3CX Windows App is currently at v16.3.0.264, the fact that you're running an older version may mean you're also running an older 3CX PBX version too. Could you please confirm the 3CX PBX version you're running? You can check in "Dashboard >> Information >> License/Version" for the exact version number.

Incoming or outcoming calls to external numbers. From 3CX App to External number or from external numbers to 3CX.
This problem does not exists on old computers with two jack port (audio + microphone) with Realtek High Definition Audio. That is why I'm asking for any suggestion. Maybe there is someone who has faced with the similar problems and will share the guidance here.

I have to say, if it is only for external numbers and extension to extension calls work just fine, it would seem rather strange for the culprit to be the audio device setup of these PCs.

Have you happened to try any other 3CX clients on them, such as the 3CX Webclient? Also, have you happened to check the 3CX PBX version too?
