I have read and understand that in order to deliver HD audio would require a rewrite of the media services; but this is now becoming more important to our customers as they percieve that the 3CX system is of lower quality due to the lack of HD audio for IVR/MOH.
A growing number of other providers now offer this service as standard.
This week we lost our first customer as a result of this lack of feature development and I would urge the 3CX team to look to prioritise this (now we have resolved the security issues) as it is becoming a barrier to winning new business.
Would also be useful to see if there is a way ringback tones (180) can be implemented without sending a 200 OK ACK to start billing from the calling party, I know some platform providers offer this service.
It is crazy that we are still using WAV Mono 8 kHz 16 bit!!!!
Everytime I have to do a conversion it reminds me of early mobile phones that only supported these formats for ringtone!
