Australian Dial Tones & Progress Tones

Hi all,

We are using Yealink phones - T21P E2, T41S, T48S and T58A - What would be the best way to change the dial tones and progress tones from the standard US to Australian tones? My thought was to create a custom template, but I don't much like how 3CX shows a warning about using custom templates, so I thought there must be another way that I'm unaware of. All phones are fully provisioned either through a VPN or direct SIP, so less customisation is best (makes further changes, updates, upgrades, etc in the future easier if we don't need to worry about specific configurations for individual phones).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Peter,

This would only be possible if the manufacturer has built the tones into the device and allows them to be defined via provisioning.

I think it might be a good idea to post it on the Yealink forums instead because I'm not sure if these models provide this function.

The T21P_E2, T4xS and T58A support next country tones:
Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, China, Czech, Czech ETSI, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, United States

Please use the parameter:
voice.tone.country =
or use the Web UI:
Settings > Tones > Select Country

Yes.

It can be found in the phone template (yealinkT4x.ph.xml - near line 808), not the parameters.

#Define the voice tone, the valid values can be Custom (default) or voice tone of different countries. For example, United States, France, Germany and so on.
#voice.tone.country = Custom
voice.tone.country =
