Auto dial on power on

Hey guys,

Can Yealink T46S be programmed to automatically make a call on startup/power on? Or any other compatible handset?

I would like to automate my Genio smart devices so that I will get a call on my mobile from 3CX extension number named "Home Alarm".

Scenario:
Camera tempered/motion sensor triggered/door sensor triggered -> Turn on the smart power board's GPO with PoE injector connected to it so it will power on the phone.

Is it doable? Or any other way of triggering the call? I can automate GPOs so I can control autostart of Raspberry PI/laptop etc. if that's any helpful. Would be great if I can make it call my mobile from that extension somehow.

Not really a 3CX issue, is it?

I'm not aware of a device that will auto-dial when first powered up, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I can't see a big demand for that sort of feature in a SIP desk phone.

What I would look at doing, is to use an ATA. If the "trigger" were momentary (a minute or so), then it could drive a relay, which would seize the line (through a resistor, of course, to simulate the load of a set), and "hotline" dial the number. This would have to release at some point, if not on it's own, then with a timer circuit, which will make it a bit more complicated.

Are you certain that the device can't simply email you when triggered?

Hey, thanks for answering. I'm aware that it's an unusual application. Surely not an issue on 3CX side, but on Genio side rather because all it does it sends me a single push notification through the app. I can easily miss it, most of the time I don't notice that even. Genio isn't equipped with traditional alarm system features because these are just smart toys. So not blaming any party here. I just came up with that idea to be somehow notified by a call from 3CX.

I can't get my head around using ATA for it. It seems too complex. I would rather write a script/modify the firmware of the phone to achieve this, but wouldn't have a clue if it's possible at all.

This may not be the best forum, given the direction you seem to want to go. Since you seem to be determined to make use of a Yealink set, you might have more luck on their forum, or at least, get a quicker answer, as to whether if it is even worth pursuing.

Not really determined to make use of a Yealink. It's what came to my mind and I came to ask here if there is a way either with that or something else to make it work. Cheers for your input mate I will additionally ask on Yearlink group.

For those who wondered. It looks like the best would be to use a soft phone on Windows. I googled 3cx command line call, as someone suggested on one of the facebook groups, and got quite few results pointing me in the right direction.
While it's not doable with the new app, it is still possible with v16 app which still can be provisioned and works fine. So in my scenario it is:
1. Smart home turns a smart GPO on when motion sensor or door sensor is triggered.
2. PC with "boot up on power restore" setting in BIOS will then boot up, auto log in the win user (no pass)
3. 3CX app v16 will autostart
4. Task Scheduler will run a command which will make the 3CX app to call my mobile from "Home Alarm" extension
Hurray!
The only downside is little delay, probably about 30 seconds before all kicks in, but most traditional alarms are programmed also to go off with a delay.
