Hi all!
I'm looking for a way to make a call to a Tannoy system, then for the call to auto hang up after x amount of time.
Alternatively make a recording from an extension which then plays over a Tannoy system.
The main thing I need to try and achieve is for a single key press to complete the entire process.
I've tried a few things in CFD but I'm struggling now :)
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you

I'm thinking that it would have to be done, in the device, at one end or the other. Other than perhaps long duration calls, i can't recall a situation where the PBX will drop a call in progress, on purpose.

Bit of a stretch, but, some Gateways make use of a silence disconnect time, perhaps routing through something like that?

I tried to do this once and couldn't find an easy way from 3cx itself. I did use a fanvil i12 intercom which has a maximum call duration before hang up function calling through to a radio system that had a little asterix server running on it via a call flow app. Simply someone would press the button, it would call a reception phone if in work hours or if out of work hours it would instead call a radio gateway via SIP which would convert the call into a radio call, play a canned message to say someone was at the main gate then put them through. I had other issues with with the hang up not issuing a SIP Bye and so the call leg stayed open on 3cx but I could never work out if that was the radio system or the intercom (I think it was the radio system). That might work for you as it's a single button solution.

How are you connecting to the PA system already?

I should add, you basically want to do this with the exception you'll be calling a SIP paging gateway attached to a PA system?

Thanks for this but I don't think this would work for us as it refers to a Digital Receptionist being programmed with a recording.
This is primarily for a doctors surgery to welcome patients into their rooms. They need the auto hang up as they sometimes forget to end the call after inviting their next patient in! :s
Thanks again
