Solved Auto-provision Erases custom Phone speed dial and settings

Hi all,

We have set up a few phones using the auto-prov feature and we find that the custom speed dials and Function Keys are erased when the phone receives updated settings from 3CX.

How can we prohibit this from occurring as it takes a lot of time to set up each users' custom buttons only for them to be erased and wiped to factory default when auto-provisioned again.

Hello,
Maybe it's a good idea to configure these custom speed dials on the 3CX Management Console. This can be done on the Extension's BLFs (as a rebound, if this extension is used on a PC, the BLFs will also appear there).
On this scenario, when a phone is reprovisioned it will keep the BLFs configs.

If BLFs are not an option, you will have to go to custom templates, but keep in mind that doing this might bring some consequences that you must be aware of.

Do you perhaps know of an Import / Export feature for importing these keys for each phone?

The correct way to do it is via the management console under the BLF settings, you will see there are many types including Custom Speed Dial which I think is what you want to have



The user can also manage this from the Webclient if they wish

I have added all the BLF's and SpeedDials and happy with the result. Sorted thank you very much.

You also asked about import/export. You can't, however when making the BLF entries you can multi-select multiple extensions and set their BLFs in one shot.

take out the provissions URL from the phone, i had the same problem.
