V : 18.0 (Build 955) - Enterprise Annual

I've lost the ability to setup auto switch on the extensions, has this moved as i cant find it anywhere?

Thanks

I feel like this should be a permission... So a user does not change their hours to something random so they don't get calls.

3CX- Please make this a permission & add it back to the ADMIN Console so that it can be set administratively!

How is the phone system administrator supposed to set this for someone without accessing the end-user's webclient?
Also confirming we agree this was a dumb move. You seem to massively over estimate the competence of end users.

When "auto switch" will return to admin console?

Completely agree. This is a completely stupid move.

Agreed we need to be able to do this. We don't use or allow staff to have the webclient. We are desk phone only on a new system. I want to be able to set from admin their schedules if needs be. When is this being fixed ...

I understand perfectly the logic in moving that to the extension's webclient.

On the other hand, the "misuse" of "dummy extensions" is a real need in some setups.

What about creating a new 3CX object, "hour redirection", with just :
* a number
* a string description
* various "time definitions" (1 + default is the current case of "dummy extensions"; it would be nice if a "hour redirection" object could have a bit more; 4 + default mayube?)
* definition of where to redirect for each of the "time definitions"

nothing more (no sip id, no passwords, no 3cx client, etc).
just a special object, like Ringgroups, IVRs, etc.

That would cover the real need of time based redirections (in a cleaner and better way than the current "dummy extensions" usage), and thus remove the need to "misuse" the extensions.
