I hope this is a fairly straight forward question.

When using the Digital receptionist, Once it picks up, Can a caller key in the extension to be transfered?

Scenario:
Outside caller know who he wants to speak to, call get answered, hears the greeting, listens to the options: 1 for bob, 2 for betty, 3 for.... 0 for operator, or 9 to replay this message.

Caller want to speak to George, but that is not a option, George's ext. is 1010. How does the caller reach George?

Let me know if this is possible.

yes this is possible, if he gets connected with the pbx and hears the voice, he dials the extension number and should get connected to george :D

U can set the settings for it at Digital Receptionist.
U can chose witch numer should connect to what extention.

I tried it and seems to work.

To my understanding now, 3CX does not listen for the first digit to be press and follow it. It listens to all the digits entered in the given time frame and the processes the entire string....

This being true, I can add a line to my greeting that say "If you know your parties extension you may enter it now." and it should be directed to and of the 15 people.

Sound right to you?

if i read the manual correctly that should do the trick, but test it before implementing ishould say :D

Hello,

if the external caller knows the extension number of somebody internal... simply type the number and the system transfer the call...
We are working that way...
