Hi,

if an endpoint 200 calls another endpoint 300 with it's complete telephone number (xxxxx-yyyy-300) in 300's call log appears xxxxx-yyyy-200 instead of just 200.
How can I reroute all internal calls to xxxxx-yyyy-abc to just abc instead?

Thanks

if I understand well, you call internally 200 to 300 and say logs are displaying DID numbers?

If you want DID or CID number goes directly to specific extension then you need to create an inbound rule

No, I mean when a someone calls the external number instead of the internal one, e.g. 9999-8888-300 instead of just 300.
Then in 300's call log appears 9999-8888-200 instead of just 200. Furthermore the 9999-8888-200 number is not in the address book and therefore no name is shown.

That's correct since it is now an external call and gets routed via your SIP provider.

  1. You can either retrain the users not to use the external numbers or
  2. Block their calls using outbound rules altogether so they will be forced to used the extension.
  3. However, there is a way to do it, by entering each user's DID number under their extension > Options > SIP ID. You must also enable "Allow calls from/to external SIP URIs" under Network > FQDN otherwise this will not work.

If you do not wish to enable Direct SIP calls then use options 1 or 2 ;)
