Hello 3CX world!

We all know that the lack of a "busy" tone in 3CX systems, which is something really bad. I know that there is nothing we can do about that, except placing a feature request. But because of that (the lack of the busy tone), another request came up.

Is there any possibility when a 3CX user makes an outgoing call and the other side is busy, to have an automatic retry for "X" times with a time interval of "Y" seconds?

That would be really great!

Hello,

There are some phones that do support that, for example Yealink has a setting in the Features menu called Auto Redial. You can set the interval and the retries count.

Hope this helps!

Hi @JohnS_3CX!

That is really helpful. I already configured the device of the person requested that and he is thankful.

But I would like to ask the following. Settings like that, do they stay in case a phone is re-provisioned?

Anything that is not provisioned, should theoretically remain untouched.

You can see which settings are changed by provisioning, by selecting the phone in the "Phones" section and clicking the "+Config" button.

As always, you can also press "Reprovision" or "Reboot" to confirm a specific setting has remained (and it should remain)

Hi @JohnS_3CX!

Thanks a lot for the tips. I confirm that the setting stays even after a reboot or a reprovision of the device. You maυ consider this thread as solved!

Wishing you all the best.
