Hello, I had found another post which touched on this (https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...ffice-now-auto-schedule-is-not-working.70520/) but it was closed.

This has to do with changing the setting for office hours: in, out, default. Sometimes a user forgets or doesn't mention that they've forced "in-office hours" (for example if they arrive in the office early) - this causes the system to remain this way, even when everyone has gone home at the end of the day.

Our system forwards to an outside answering service during out-of-office hours, and they in turn notify us of after-hours support calls they receive. When the system stays in-office, we don't get those notifications.

In the old days of FreePBX I believe their system resumed "default" office hours at the next schedule change - is there a way to do this? If not with the present v.16, maybe it could be added as a feature request?

We are running the Linux Enterprise 16.0.493. Thanks in advance for input.

This is a PBX parameter that can be manipulated with the Call Control API. That means you could write a service that automatically puts the PBX back into the default mode based on the conditions you choose -- including based on the office hours schedule defined in 3CX.

There are also alternatives to expensive answering services ;)

you don't need to turn pbx off or on to forward calls, 3CX settings already include OH and OOH management to change status automaticly and forward trunk calls where you want.

with office hours set , this can be done alone with no one forgetting to force PBX on or off. Of course if you don't have any regular working hours, this is not the way to do.
