We have had an issue with the FQDN releasing due to the missing updates (V15) and have been unable to get it back, working through installing updates hasn't helped.
I have tried running through the pbxexpress restore method using a backup that includes the license details but it fails reporting the domain is exhausted.
Is there a way to do the restore to a new instance without the license? I am pretty much resigned to the loss of the FQDN now and just trying to avoid configuring a new system again if possible.

Thanks for any help.

Do you still have access to the old instance via IP? If so just take a backup without license/FQDN and then you can restore and pick a new FQDN (assuming you are seeing no FQDN bound to your key in the customer portal).

Thanks Cobaltit
I have access via IP and have grabbed a backup both with and without the license/FQDN.
Trying to restore with pbxexpress only allows with the license/FQDN which then errors about the domain being exhausted (key currently has no IP or FQDN bound to it in Customer Portal) and if I try to restore using the backup without the license/FQDN it then errors with wanting the license/FQDN included.
Or are you saying to run up a new instance, manually install 3CX and then restore the backup? Linux novice so will be an interesting experience.

I don't do much with PBXExpress so maybe someone else can chime in about that. But you should be able to install it on a local machine (Windows or Linux) and restore the backup, picking a new FQDN then. Then take a backup with FQDN/Key and restore that via PBXExpress. Make sure you shutdown your old instances.
