Hello,
We are hosting a 3CX system for a client where they are trying to use AXIS Video Door Phones, but having issues transmitting DTMF to open the door. The phones register and when the button is pressed, it will ring the Yealink phone, but will not accept # to open the door. When we call the door phone from a Yealink phone, # will open the door phone, just not when the door phone button is pressed. The Yealink phones as well as Door Phones are registered as Direct SIP. We can get two-way audio when the PBX Delivers Audio option is checked.

Is an onsite SBC the best way to accomplish this and take out any issues being direct SIP?

I'm assuming you configured the door phone manually so you need to check what codec priority you are using (I'd do G.711u 1st assuming you are in the US) and then you need to check your DTMF settings in the Axis.

In the AXIS it has both SIP INFO and RTP checked in regards to DTMF, I had unchecked SIP INFO and used just RTP since that is what the Yealink looks like it is configured for. I had went into the 3CX extension under Phone Provisioning and put G.711u as top priority, but still can't get the AXIS to recognize the # entry when calling from the door phone. When you call from the 3cx to the door phone, the # key works, so it would seem like the DTMF settings are working, just not from door phone to yealink/3cx.
