Azure AD Sync with Existing Extensions

Good Afternoon from south of Montreal,

If in our 3CX tenant we have built extensions and then later connect 3CX with Azure/365; will the sync overwrite those extensions that have already been created?

If the email address listed on their user in 3CX matches their primary address on Azure AD it will sync the existing users. Any users whose email is different than the primary username will be duplicated.

Also, to add to @jcostlow reply, you can also choose which users to sync and not to sync, which can also help making sure you don't get duplicates.

Once synced, they should appear in the Users section, under the Synced With column, you'll see "Microsoft 365".
