I have 3CX PBX hosted at azure cloud. In web management console, I set parameters in Setting->Parameter Settings HIDECALLERID to *5 and HIDECALLERIDINFO to Anonomous when I make call with prefix *5xxxxx where xxxxx is the called number. 3CX management console doesn't send Anonymous as CallerID string to the VoIP provider. Even It doesn't send any caller ID to VoIP provider. Why 3CX parameters are not working as they should?

Please help me to solve this. Thanks in advance

Hello @Ever22

Who is your provider? What parameter is your provider using to read the caller ID from? Does your provider accept anonymous calls?
Have you run a wireshark capture and saw that the PBX does not send anonymous?

Thanks for your reply. Telnyx is my VoIP provider. They said they use From:User Part to send CallerID. They provide reports for troubleshooting at their website. I see there is no caller ID when I do this.
I didn't run a wireshark capture coz I do not know how to do this.

If you used the included Telnyx template to setup the trunk then no further changes are required. If there is no caller id sent then i would recommend speaking with Telnyx.
To make sure however that the PBX is sending anonymous you can run a wireshark capture and capture a call attempt.
To do so please navigate to Dashboard / Activity log and click on Capture.
Then make a test call by dialling *5 followed by the number *5xxxxxxxx
Once the test is complete stop and download the capture.
You will need to install Wireshark on your machine to be able to open it.
Once you open it using wireshark navigate to Telephony / Voip Calls.
There you should see 2 legs of the same call. The second leg should be from the PBX to your provider. Do you see Anonymous in the SIP message?

@YiannisH_3CX ,
Thanks for your guidance, I have captured trace from Activity log and saw it on wireshark.

I guess PBX is sending Anonymous but the problem is with VoIP. I am talking to them and will let you know their answer. Coz "Originating Number" column in telnyx CDR is blank and can't see Anonymous.

They say we send "Anonymous" to the carrier but carries is replacing it with local numbers.
I am also having a problem. If I set my Outbound CallerID in Extensions as 123456789 then at called number I receive +44123456789. I just want called number receive 123456789.

Please note that although you can set your outbound caller ID and have the PBX send it, the provider will send inbound calls to a certain format. So in your case your caller ID will be reformatted to E164 by the provider. This is something that depends on the provider and how the provider handles calls and has nothing to do with the PBX.
