Hello all!
Has anybody enabled the backup and the recordings' remote archiving using an S3 bucket as destination? I'm wondering if the recording would be available to the agents after moving them to S3?

Hi Davide,

Generally speaking when using the SFTP connection should not matter where the destination is.

You should connect your bucket and test it, by archiving a couple of recordings there from your management console. If the archiving is successful the recordings should remain reachable to anyone who has access to them. Select one, and click download to see if it can be accessed.

They have a little "book" icon next to them as you can see in the screenshot, indicating this is an archived recording.

Do note however, that any old reports that have links inside for recordings, will not be updated to the new destination and will not work.

If you are on LightSail then why try to reinvent the wheel? Mount some block storage and just use the local backup option to drop it there.

This is what I've done, mostly for pricing reasons :D as soon as it will be more convenient I'll switch to s3/glacier in order to not to worry about the storage increase

Well I'm not sure if there is an official way with directly mounting the the S3 storage but otherwise you could use something like rclone.
