Hi,

First post on the forum so be gentle please. Been using and distributing 3CX for about a year now. First time I've had to restore an installation due to a problem with hardware it was installed on and everything pretty much gone to plan apart from not being able to see any phones.

Local IP address has changed but everything else remains the same. Do I need to reprovision them all?

Thanks in advance for any help received.

change option 66 to reflect the new ip/fqdn, that should be about it, other than an extra long dhcp lease time should be easy.

If your 3CX is on-premise and just changed IP, it should still detect the phones. One thing to try: reboot all phones.

At boot, they will send a PnP request and if 3CX and reprovision automatically using existing config.

As mentionned by @3cxnub, if after reboot phones still don't detect the PBX, point your DHCP option 66 to the 3CX IP.

Many thanks for the prompt replies guys, much appreciated.

Managed to restart the phones and now appearing in the phones section but they appear as new. Any ideas?

Check under an extension in "Phone Provisioning" if the phone is still listed or if only 3CX Client is there.

If the phone isn't there, then you will need to reconfig them. However, using UPnP it is fairly simply. Just assign an extension and the phone will be provisioned automatically.

Hello @Scott EIT

If the phones were provisioned as local devices that the provisioning link probably contained the local IP. That points the phones to the previous IP so they cannot find the server to re-connect or re-provision. To get the phones to work you can either DHCP option 66 as suggested or give the phones the new provisioning link manually so they know where they need to go to connect.
You could also change the IP back to the original IP and restart the phones.

Thanks guys. Changed the autoprovision link. All good!
