Solved Backup SFTP - Sub folder

Hello,

Following the information about Gdrive for backups I am working on another solution.

With my PBXs at OVH, I looked at the "cloud archive conteiner" that allow SFTP access. The problem is that SFTP access gives access to the root folder of the server in which 3cx does not have authorization to write.

It would be necessary for 3cx to have a subdirectory option to be able to write in the right directory

Is it possible to set this up somewhere?

I think you left a semicolon in there after the TLD

Also you should be able to create an account for SFTP access, and during the configuration of the account you can assign it a home folder that has has the necessary rights (depending on your service provider)

You might have to try it as: sftp://gateways.storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net/home/username/BackupsFolder

The host is : sftp://gateways.storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net
:/BackupsSFTP was to test the access to the subfolder directly


I'll look for OVH side but I'm not sure we can create a user for a specific folder.

You might have to try it as: sftp://gateways.storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net/home/username/MyBackupsFolder

Be careful of the extra semicolon though

No, it unfortunately doesn't work, unknown host. I think it is necessary either that OVH allows the creation of users for a specific sub-folder, or to have the possibility in 3CX to choose the sub-folder.

You should look up their documentation. Experiment using filezilla client to connect to it and observe the path that appears on top for the remote site window

I have put as host : sftp://gateways.storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net/containers/BackupsSFTP
