I have bad voice quality (heights and mid frequencys seem to be missing) when using the webclient on Mac as a Softphone. If I use the same headset with the native Mac client, the quality is quite good. I've tried Chrome, Safari and Firefox all with the same results.

The codec priortiy for the 3CX app is G722, G.711 A-law, GSM-FR

  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.2.910
  • Server OS: Not sure. Hosted solution.
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Yes, matic-tec.de
  • Provisioning Method: STUN
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model: easybell

Hi @sv3n

The quality is probably related to the codecs used. The Webclient will send opus which gets transcoded usually due to the fact that most providers don't support it. This cannot be changed as it is part of WebRTC framework that the webclient uses.

The desktop client prefers G722 and your provider also supports it so internal and external calls will most likely not get transcoded and quality is not altered.
