Hi,

we are facing a request that is not easy to answer due to the special configuration for this client.
Its a v16 3cx on premise, the special thing is it has one beronet (lets say BA) for inbound calls and another one (we can call it BB) for outbound calls (2 differents telco provider...).
We use a dummy extension to ring a mobile phone (with mobile phone in extension field and ring my mobile phone in transfer rules. The mobile receive the call, no problem for that. We use this a lot for differents clients.

The issue is with the caller number displayed on his mobile phone. It shows the BB phone.
We tried change outbound setting in BB From : User Part" into "OriginatorCallerID" as suggested in differents posts in 3cx but if we do that, the caller id displayed is the one from first beronet (BA). What we need to change to have real caller id displayed on his mobile phone ?

Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Clément

By the way, we tried to convince client to use 3cx application for smartphones but he dont like it, he is old school and dont understand why he need an application to handle calls as his phone can do it very well without it...

What type of gateway is this (are they)? PSTN, ISDN? The issue may be that the outbound gateway provider does not permit sending any caller ID other than the one issued by them. Have you confirmed that you are able to send DID numbers, on outbound calls from extensions?

If outbound gateway provider does not permit to change caller ID, then why, when we make the change in "from user part" I explained, it show the number of inbound gateway ?

You cannot change outbound caller ID on PSTN lines, period, that is set by your provider. If the number being received (sometimes) is that of the inbound route, then the outbound calls must be using that trunk group. Check the 3CX Activity Log to confirm this.
