Hi all

overnight for whatever reason, my PBX failed over to the passive.

What is the best practice to revert it back to PBX A?

Both running latest PBX v18.

Ok think I figured it out.

On PBX B I set the failover back to passive which triggered services to shutdown and log me out.

On PBX A I restarted system service and it seems to be back to normal.

That would probably indeed be the best way. I just want to add that you could also consider taking a backup from the secondary server and then restore that on the primary server to also keep things like call logs for calls that occurred during the time the passive server was the active one.

For this you would also have to take the following into consideration for whether it's worth it or not as some data loss during a failover event is almost inevitable:
• When was the last backup of the primary server taken.
• When did the Passive server restore from that backup.
• When did the Primary server fail.
• How long was it down.
• And of course, how many calls occurred if any in between these events.
