Blacklist based on area code

Is it possible to blacklist based on area code? I have create a blacklist rule with the following number:

0292XXXXXXX

Will this work? If not, is there a way to block numbers that start with a specific sequence?

Use oubound rules - create one with prefix 0292 and route as block

Put your block rules at the top of the list, as it processed from the top down.

It is inbound spam calls that I am trying to block, will an outbound rule still apply to inbound calls?
