Blacklist options for Web Client

Hello, some of my users are complaining that they are being blacklisted from improperly entering in their credentials. I asked them how many times they had tried, and their response was 3 times to be locked out of the system, which resets after a period of time. When I went to review the security settings from the Admin Console, I noted it was set for 25 failed attempts. Is there a way that we can update the Web Interface blacklist triggers?

You are generous with failed attemps set to 25, MC access are set to 3 on my pbx's, no help for attackers

What you are referring to is the Authentication attempts of the PBX not the Management Console. You cannot change the 3 times block limit of the Management Console.

Your only option is to advice your users to just enter the correct password. Not that hard..

The system has protection against abuse, this cannot be changed.

The user's will just have to make sure they enter correct credentials otherwise they will be blocked temporarily, and then blacklisted

I have a question , Why i getting on mine blacklist very time i try to connect from windows application? I only user and it block only me from me ??? How can i make my IP always in whitelist?

Hi Sergey,

You don't get blacklisted, the IP does. If anything from that IP fails to authenticate then the system blacklists that IP.

You should send yourself a fresh welcome email and reconfigure the client. Also you should make sure that if you are behind a public IP (connecting remotely from where the PBX is) that no other devices are causing that IP to get blacklisted.

Also the blacklist section allows you to whitelist IPs there. Do not whitelist your IP if you dont know why it got blacklisted in the first place, check your logs instead to see which extension/user is causing this.
