BLF Settings are overwritten

Hi,
I have several Fanvil x5u phones.
Each phone has it's BLF programmed via the phone's web page.
Last night all the phones were overwritten, and now blank except some BLF settings from the 3CX assignments.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
There are some BLF options available in the phone that are not available in 3CX.

Hi Sonny,

This is normal and expected behavior. 3CX programs the BLFs automatically, so you should not be using the phone web page to change them.

You have two ways to change BLFs

1. Users: Open your webclient, go to Settings >> BLF settings. Edit your BLFs and then when your are done restart your phone from its menus.

2. Admins: Click an extension in the 3CX Management console, go to its BLF tab and make the changes. Press OK to save, then go to the Phones page, and use the Reprovision button once you have selected your phone from the list.

If you want to stop this from happening, you will have to remove the provisioning URL from your phone. It will stop the BLFs from changing, but it will also stop the provisioning of the phone entirely until you add it back.

Note: there may be some BLF options on the phone that do not appear in 3CX, but they may also not be compatible. If you have problems you will have to reprovision the phone normally and not use those 3rd options.

One problem with the 3CX BLF programming is that I can not select a specific outgoing line for a custom speed dial, whereas I can with the Fanvil X5U and X6U.

I understand, but we do not consider that to be an issue because we only support 1 extension per 1 deskphone.

For this you have to create your own custom templates, but with the knowledge that it may cause unexpected problems that will not be immediately foreseeable, and it will be unsupported by 3CX.
