bridged pbx cannot chat between sites

3CX 15.5.56602.6 standard annual
I have setup a bridge between two 3CX PBX at site-1 (master) and site-2 (slave) using tunnel port 5090. The bridge shows connected (green dot). Site-1 extensions are four digit 1xxx. Site-2 are four digit 2xxx. Outbound rules are in place and I can intercom between sites. I cannot chat between sites.

Using the web client,
Site-1 extensions can chat between each other.
Site-2 extensions can chat between each other.
Site-1 extensions can not chat to site-2 extensions.

How to configure site-1 and site-2 to allow chat between PBXs via web client, android and iOS apps?
Is there a port that needs opened?
Is chat between sites part of the PRO version?

Hello @jakthree

Chat between bridge is possible but you need to have presence to be able to chat. Since presence between bridges is a Pro version feature then you need to have Pro to be able to use it.

When you say you cannot chat, can you give us a more accurate description of what is going on?



For example here you see a chat icon next to each name in the a) box

Does this not appear next to teach user's box?
