For some reason I still can not successfull connect to BroadVoice. I have been able to with Vonage. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've posted the server log below.

3CX Setup:
proxy-nyc.broadvoice.com port 5060
sip.broadvoice.com port 5060
stunserver.org 3478

Looking at the last line of your server status log:

13:19:07.955 ClientRegs::onFailure: Registration of sip:[email protected]:5060 has failed; reason=Service Unavailable

It shows that you are trying to register with the proxy, not the registrar. So probably you entered the registrar server name sip.broadvoice.com into the proxy field and vice versa. Sip.broadvoice.com should be in the registrar field. This is why you get a message 'service unavailable', since the proxy of broadvoice does not allow registering.

So please enter sip.broadvoice.com in the register field and the proxy server in the proxy field and try again.

if not please post a screen shot of your config if possible. You can black out the user name.

I did try switching them around and it didn't seem to work. But here is my screen shot. I've also posted broadvoice configuration below.

outbound_proxy_server: proxy-nyc.broadvoice.com
proxy_port: 5060
registrar_server: sip.broadvoice.com
registrar_port: 5060
phone_number:
auth_id:
auth_password:
ntp_ip: ntp.broadvoice.com
DTMF: rfc2833 if available, fail over to InBand if rfc2833 not supported

Your configuration seems correct.

And did the error in the status log remain the same?

Did you try to make an inbound or outbound call, even though its not registered?

I had the same problem. My configuration was the exact same way in the beginning. When I read earlier that you thought it might have been swapped, I tried that. So I put sip.broadvoice.com in the proxy and the proxy-nyc.broadvoice.com in the registar. Things started to work. The line does seem to unregister after a call is processed in or outbound. Not sure about audio since I didn't have a headset hooked up to my laptop. I will also mention the Voicemail didn't seem to be working either. I didn't do any more research with it though.

Same issue registering w/ Broadvoice

I'm gettign the same error as original user.

my conf:

outbound_proxy_server: proxy-nyc.broadvoice.com
proxy_port: 5060
registrar_server: sip.broadvoice.com
registrar_port: 5060
phone_number: 4155131120
auth_id: 4155131120
auth_password: **********

my log:

00:59:47.601 StunClient::process: Send initial STUN request to 80.239.235.209
00:56:25.936 ClientRegs::onFailure: Registration of sip:[email protected]:5060 has failed; reason=Service Unavailable
00:56:25.702 ExtLine::Register: Send registration for "4155131120"<sip:[email protected]:5060>

Fixed

hi, I have this fixed. For the benefit of others.

I had to switch the registrar and proxy servers. opposite of what broadvoice lists in conf provided.

My 3CX is behind a juniper/Netscreen F/W with static nat, 1 to 1 (mip).

final conf:

proxy host: sip.broadvoice.com
registrar: proxy.nyc.broadvoice.com
stun: stunserver.org

I will advise on any addt'l trouble with the broadvoice connection

3CX Broadvoice

Leave the Registrar Hostname or IP BLANK[/img]

You CAN leave the registrar blank and the pbx will use sip.broadvoice.com for calls. Alternativly if you notice a problem in latency and wish to use a closer broadvoice proxy DO use the right proxy.

proxy host: sip.broadvoice.com
registrar: proxy.***.broadvoice.com
stun: ANY STUN SERVER
