We have narrowed down a small bug in the system. This is a continuation of thread here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/voicemail-greetings-getting-recorded-but-not-set.63293/

Normally when you create a new extension and you click the OK button at the top it creates the voicemail folder under /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Ivr/Voicemail/Data/{EXTENSION} and in this path contains a greetings.xml.

When you import extensions from CSV this path or file are not created. What this causes is the inability to save greetings from the phone menu. If an extension tries to record a greeting after importing extension it acts like it saves but never saves when pushing 0. The only way to get this file created is to open each extension one by one and click OK.

I believe this is a bug and when importing extensions if CSV field EnableVoicemail is 1 it should create this path and file.

You haven't specified your PBX's mandatory details. When recording the greeting, the system checks and creates all the needed subdirectories automatically.
I suspect it has something to do with your system.
Could you enable verbose logs, import one user and record a greeting?
Then attach 3CXIVR.log to a PM for me.

Of course I can't get this to do it now. I know I have had this happen on two different systems after importing extensions so there is something around this. When it happens again I will turn on verbose logging to try to capture the error in the 3CXIVR.log file. Thanks.

3cx has confirmed this bug and is fixing in V18 Update 2
