Hello everybody,

I have a problem in getting call assistant running.

Afer installation automatically the login page proposes the address of the server, but adding [1] at the end of IP address: xx.xxx.x.x[1] and, by loggin in, I get an error "server ureachable"

Also deleting the [1] I get the same message

On the other hand i have no problem to access the configuration console from the same machine.

any suggestion ?

Do you enable the firewall at that machine?

What is your os? are you running IPV6?

Ok, this is clear and working.

The problem is only in the connection from another PC where the call assistant is installed to the PBX

I am running WinXP on the PC and Win2000server on the server where PBX is installed

Hi,

Have you installed 3cx assistant on the same machine of 3cx pbx? You should avoid this.

Please, install 3cx assistant on the machine where you need to manage the calls.

or I didn't understand....

regards

William

Sorry for the unclear explanation, here some more details.

I have the PBX installed on our server.

Then I have softphones installed on 10 pc connected to the server.

I would like to have one of these PC with call assitant to act as the receptionist.

So the problem is the "call assistant" that does not connect from the PC to the PBX on the server.
Basically the firewall should not be a problem because the connection is inside our network.
Maybe I have to specify a port, I use the 5060 but it does not work

Best way to go about it is:

Fire up the 3cx Login page.
Run the link on there to get call assistant
Select install.

for IP is (like mentioned before) [3cx server ip] minus the [1] or [2]

Select an extension that is registered on the 3cx server eg 100 use that as login and password.

And it should work from there.
