Hi,

I'm looking for information on how to use the Call Control API however the following link doesn't seem to be working https://www.3cx.com/docs/call-control-api/

Is there another place where I can take a look at the documentation for this?

Thanks in advance

I too am looking for this API documentation.
Since upgrading, the web service endpoints we were using no longer exist.

I think the call control api is not available anymore...no forum category...no blog post...everything about 3cx call control api is deleted. I think V16 will not have the call control api anymore. i think all automation scripts will not work with upgrade to v16.

The API is still available and functional, in fact 3CX relies on that to communicate between the different modules. However, the documentation has been removed...

@edossantos Good to hear. But why do I get an error when I try to use the API with Powershell on Windows Server. I get the following error:

C:
$path="C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Instance1\Bin\3cxpscomcpp2.dll"
Add-Type -Path $path
Add-Type : Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.

Add-Type -Path $path

 + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: :)) [Add-Type], ReflectionTypeLoadException
 + FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.AddTypeCommand

With V15.5 this worked. Perhaps you have an idea how we can resolve this error.

Check if you have copied the libraries "tcxpscom_native.dll" and "sl.dll" to the folder in which you're running your app.

I am also looking for the documentation, i am creating a .net core application but i need to know how to call the functions and listen to the events. I wonder why everything about the API was removed.

When I use
[System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFrom($path)
instead of
Add-Type -Path $path
I can load the assambly, but when I try to initate the object, i still get an error.

Code:
PS C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Bin> $ps::CfgServerHost = "127.0.0.1"
Exception setting "CfgServerHost": "The type initializer for 'TCX.Configuration.PhoneSystem' threw an exception."
At line:1 char:1
+ $ps::CfgServerHost = "127.0.0.1"
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [], SetValueInvocationException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ExceptionWhenSetting

Hi,

Any reason why the documentation was removed? I'm also interested in using the Call Control API myself, especially on a Linux system.

I'd like to know why the documentation was removed as well. I've written a applications against the API so it makes it difficult if the documentation is no longer publicly available. The availability of an API is one of the primary reasons we chose 3CX over other PBX software as it allowed us to write our own server-side system integrations more easily.
