Hello !

A customer asks me for a button on his phone (Yealink) to have a different call flow according to his wishes.

Example:
I have an incoming route for an external number that goes on IVR A
When the customer presses a button on his phone (BLF), the LED changes from green to red and then the routing should be done to IVR B.

With other products than 3CX, I can do it easily, but I can't find the right way with 3CX.

How to do it ?

Use an extension and statuses. You're not gonna get the BLF light but you can get a dot on the Webclient.

ok, but how to do it ? The client doesn't have a computer or cell phone?
Just desk phones.

You could program a second deskphone for the user with the dummy extension and use Feature Acces Codes to switch between states to alter the routing of the incoming number.

You could do something like:

1. Create a dummy/routing extension. Lets say Extension A.
2. Edit the extension Away and DND profile statuses.
3. Set the Away profile status for destination A and the DND profile status for destination B.
4. Now, set your Inbound Rule to route calls to Extension A instead of the normal routing so that depending on what profile status Extension A is in the call will be routed differently.
5. From the extension on your IP Phone you can now access the special/voicemail menu (999 or 666) and change extension's A status. Dial 999/666,, press # , enter extension number, enter VM Pin, press 9 for options and then 1 to change profile status.
