call forwarding caller-ID

Hi I have would like to setup call forwarding on the 3cx Pbax for after hours.
When it forwards it the caller ID is of the SIP trunk number instead of the person calling.
I would like it to be the caller ID of the person calling just incase I want to call back .
How do I achieve this?

First of all, your provider must allow this.

If they do, then there are several caller ID options, in the outbound trunk parameters, that control from where caller ID is taken. Depending on your provider, changing one, or more of these could allow, what you want, to happen. However, changing these may also block all outgoing calls. so tread carefully, and document all changes. The caller ID of other calls may also be affected

Letting us know who your provider is, might be a good start, as others may already have gone through this and can tell you exactly what to change.
