Hello,
We have just installed an on-site 3cx server with 2 ethernet interfaces: One facing the VoIP provider's equipment and one for the rest of the traffic (like management over internet, etc)
I have run into a very strange issue:
Incoming calls fail, and taking a trace (capture) on all interfaces shows that indeed a SIP INVITE is reaching the 3cx.
However, nothing is logged in the Activity Log, even if it has been set to verbose.
Under which circumstances could this happen?

Thank you in advance,
George

If I remember correctly, best practices are that you just have one ethernet adapter for the software to bind to. I think in your case, you are trying to route traffic at the server level and or 3CX software level. I would remove one of the adapters and reinstall 3CX.

If you need more bandwidth, use a 10GB or more connection to the core network.

If you are dead set on this configurations, try adding some route statements to the routing table.

I forgot to say two important things:
1. This is a Debian installation
2. The two ethernet interfaces are mandatory, as we need a separate port to connect to the provider's equipment. And of course another port for the rest of our traffic (management, port forwarding, etc)
Any suggestion is more than welcome.
It does not make much sense to me to capture the incoming call from the provider in Wireshark, but at the same time the 3cx not logging that SIP INVITE at all.

I just spotted the cause of the problem.
The VoIP provider was sending traffic to 3cx at port 5060.
We have changed the listening port of the PBX, so that inbound call never actually reached the SIP service, which explains why no calls were logged.
This may be closed.
Thank you.
