Hi All,
Is it possible to call another 3CX system and make a local phone call out of the system?

Example;
Client has 2 offices Office A and office B. It's a toll call to call office B, but the client can call office B through the 3CX bridge. But if the client at office A want's to call a customer in office B's area there is a toll charge. Can you do a hop off from office B's system and make a call to the local area?

Thanks,
Jay Elliott

I'm not sure if you can dial only extensions, if two 3CX PBXs are linked (bridged). There is no option for a DISA port unfortunately.

Callers can dial back out through options in the voicemail system when checking their VM , and a call could be routed to the DR with one of the options to go to the VM system. If a lot of calls are made in that specific "foreign" city you could install a gateway, like the SPA3102 connected to a PSTN line and datafill it as a trunk in the "local" 3CX. This requires that the 3102 is behind a fixed public IP at it's end, or the router it's behind is using a DDNS service.

You could also try creating a trunk in the local 3CX that registers to an extension in the other switch. You'd have to play around a bit with the dialplan in both boards.

This should be possible.

Register a Gateway at both locations and set different dial plans to use the different gateways.
