Hello everyone

The client wants to record all calls, which means we must play a notification on all calls that this call will be recorded.

I achieved this for all incoming calls by having the SIP trunk send the call straight to an IVR which then straight away forwards the call onto a Ring Group.

Is there any way to have a greeting/recording play when the client calls an outside number?

The external callee will answer the call, which will autoplay the greeting/recording and then connect the Caller and Callee?

Kind regards

Pete

As far as I know that would require creating a CFD app or training the users to state that once the call is answered.

We typically don't announce it to our callers but the state of Alabama only requires one party knowing the call is recorded.

Thank you for letting me know. I will let the client know.

Thank you

I don't think a CFD is going to work very well in this case. To use a CFD, you would have to ALWAYS dial the CFD first, then have the CFD prompt for the desired phone number. The CFD would then have to place the call and when answered play the prompt then transfer the caller to a queue? This doesn't sound ideal.

We have a add-on tool "3CX Recording Beep" that plays a quiet "beep" every 15 seconds to remind people that the call is being recorded. That's too is a partial option. We also have an "3CX Agent Greeting". It take a similar approach. When a call is answered, it barges in and plays a prompt. That might be closer to what you are wanting.
