Call or Registration to has failed. x.x.x.x replied: 400 Invalid Caller ID.; from IP:x.x.x.x:5050

Hi

Today I found multiple entries of the above error in the Event log.

My 3cx is on a Raspberry Pi at my home office.

I did have this error a few weeks ago from another IP which I blocked but it happened again today with a new IP which was one digit different.

Any ideas?

As the message suggests, either a call or registration attempt has failed. If it were a call, you would also see the number which was dialed. Have you edited the message at all and removed any information? Did such a number exist?

The last IP in the message where it reads "from IP:x.x.x.x:5050" denoted where the message was sent from. This may be a SIP Provider's IP or an IP Phone for instance. Do you recognize this IP at all, is it your SIP Provider's or an IP Phone's?

Hi Chris, I only have one DDI and one extension on this system and do not recognise the number or IP address.

I did remove the number and IP address from the message

You mention having only one DID, do you also only have one SIP Trunk? Do you happen to have a bridged 3CX also? Check your outbound rules to see if there are any that might be sending calls via a second SIP Trunk or Bridge connection.
