Hi Everyone!

First post!

I have a system with poor call quality, the volume goes very low and line gets crackly/muffled and becomes inaudible. I don't think it's the type of quality you would associate with packet loss (as in fragmented/robot voice). It's intermittent, but is affecting at least 5-10 users.

Is it possible that the template for the phones could affect call quality in any way? Its a system we inherited from another installer, I have noticed the templates are not correct for the handset model hence asking the question. Everything else works fine though.

System is Linux hosted in a DC with plenty of other installs that have no issues.
Local network is dedicated to 3CX only. Have already replaced the modem, firewall and uplink cables - so its not any of those. PoE Switch hasn't been replaced. It's on a well performing FTTC connection where the analogue line itself seems fine when making a normal analogue telephone call, not a noisy line or crackly etc. PSTN Line tests pass.

Codecs are 711A Primary and 729 secondary on all handsets. Handsets are HTEK 912G

Would love to hear if anyone has any thoughts on what this might be as im running out of things to replace....Next up would be the PoE Switch and the handsets and that would mean everything has been replaced.

Look forward to your thoughts!

Try to Align G711A everywhere , G729 is low bandwith use but poor quality
