In Progress Call quality reporting using RTCP-XR

I would like to see 3CX incorporate something similar to the Fonality FONscore as detailed here using RTCP-XR. Yealink endpoints support this. It's one of those 'feel' good reports that customers like to see.

Yes there was. I guess it didn't take my hyperlink. You have the correct link for the FONscore bit. But RTCP-XR is not Asterisk specific. It's a proposed standard under RFC3611 along with RFC6035. Yealink has supported this since v73. The new Fanvil phones support it I think (One of the distributors list it along with uaCSTA but I don't see it on their spec sheet). Snom and Htek phones support it as well. So that covers all of the supported phones and it would be 'trivial' to implement I believe in the sense that it doesn't seem to need modification to the SIP stack in 3CX but rather the addition of a 'collector' which would be a separate service/piece.

I'd like to ask about this as well @Nick Galea The FONScore, in particular, was GREAT at first glance. Just like in 3CX where you can see the green/red dot for registered endpoints, it had a yellow for endpoints that were borderline for connection quality. The scoring was great for first tier folks to see if one endpoint or all endpoints at a location were experiencing quality issues.

It’s been nearly 8mo since @Nick Galea posted ITT. With SP3 in alpha, I’m guessing we’re looking at another 4-6 months before we could possibly see it in SP4.
