I have been trying to get call recording to work. The logs indicate a recording has started but the location shows this.

z:\recordings\unknown
No file name?

I set the global options to record to the z:\recordings\ folder, but nothing ever shows up in there even though all the extensions are set to record. Anyone know what needs to be done to get recording to work?

Update: If i move the record location to the local drive c:\recordings\ it works. How can I get this to work on a mapped drive or use \\server\location ect.

Update2: After more research, seems as though 3cx wont let you record to a nas or mapped location. Bummer.

could you check the folder permissions and ensure "everyone" has full access

The problem is the bandwidth that recording calls takes up. The best thing I have found is to record to a local drive and then have a batch file that runs on a regular basis to move them to a NAS or network share.

using the scheduled batch file to move the files is the way to go. recording across the network uses to much bandwidth and resources.
