Just a general question.
On systems that are hosted by 3CX, how can we get access to the call recordings? Is there some sort of FTP access or anything else?
Thanks

Hi, you can do this from the Management Console >> Recordings where you can select them and download them or if you want to give a user access to this but not to the Management Console, you can enable Rights to his extension, to manage his own extension+generate reports+allow downloads of call records and the user will be able to generate reports for specific calls and download the recording of this call. You can remote archive your recordings to your own location, which is the recommended way :

That's great, thanks.

One more question. If you archive calls to ftp, do you still have the call meta data ie from number, to number, date and time of call etc or do you get only the audio file.

@stephan23 you will see it as the actual file name, not as you see it on the Management Console.
So what you will see is first the extension number ( where the recording is enabled to ) on this case as extension initiated the call :
000_[Extension_Name]_001-000_20200819142732.wav

When the call is external and extension 002 answered the call you will see it like this :
002_[17778921096_External Caller]_17778921096-002_20200708091208(5).wav

Note :the file when it is downloaded is like " 002_ " but when you see it ie on your GDrive it will look like " 002/ "

Access to the recordings is also available from the management console or from our apps for the user.
