Hi,

Just seeing if there is a quick answer to my question.

Under what circumstances would 3CX system delete the call recordings for a user in the archive?

I have a user where the recordings were happening fine, now all of a sudden there is no record of any recording in the system and the folder in the archive is empty.

Just to add, the archive is a FTP server on windows.

Thanks in advance

Hi @diamond9,

Firstly, 3CX won't automatically delete any archived recordings.

Do you mean that ALL recordings have been deleted system wide or all recordings of user A?

All recordings for user A

Hi @diamond9,

There is no option to delete archived recordings automatically per extension, that is set in 3CX.

I can only think of 3 ways this may be happening:
  1. If they've been given receptionist rights and performed the clear extension operation for that extension.
  2. If the admin has filtered the recordings by extension and deleted them manually.
  3. If the extension was given the right to delete their own recordings and has done so.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX

The first option seems the most likely, dont suppose there would be any logs of someone doing that would there?

Regards

On second thoughts i dont think it would be a clear otherwise i would have known about it, it removes the name and everthing.

Hi @diamond9,

I'm afraid in V16 there is no log to check this in at present.

For the scenarios 2 & 3, the Audit log included in V18 will be able to show this. However the first scenario won't be shown, as the audit log only shows the changes made on the management console.

But those kind of Webclient actions do get logged somewhere? At least in verbose right?

(These types of actions should be logged to the Audit log to be honest, at least the clear/assign function, since it modifies an extension.)

Hi @Frederick Marcoux,

For now, it will only audit the management console. Yes, you may be able to see more in the Verbose Logs but for now I'm not sure it'll be easy to find or contain all of the info.
