Call Reporting utility

Darrell, am I understanding one of your posts, that you can do call reporting without having access installed.

I did like the ability where it ran from the management consol.

Phil

At this time Phil, you cannot.

In my post, I was wondering why 3CX didn't make a standalone version for users who don't have MS Access. Microsoft has an Access 2007 run-time engine that can be freely distributed but would require 3CX to distribute two versions of the database. Maybe in the near future they could do this but right now I would assume this it a really low priority.

I thought not!!

Disapointing as its/was a nice feature.

Phil

the call reporting utility is very good. many features and customizability.

Whenever I start up the MDB in Access 2007 (Windows XP SP2), it hangs. The port is correctly set to 5481 in the ini file. After a few minutes, I get an error saying that the database cannot connect to the public call details table on port 5481, while localhost:5481 gives no issues or whatsoever in Firefox. What's going on?

The database listens on port 5480. 5481 is the port Apache (web server) is listening on. Your INI file should have port 5480.

5480 doesn't work either (same issue)...

If you are running the Call Reporting Utility on a different machine than your 3CX Server, you will have to enable postgres for remote communication. Instructions on how to do this is one page one of this thread.

Thanks for the update Matt. That's good news.

tank's this is very nice

Please note that in the latest v6 release you must import the call logs to the database first using the call log importer utility. More information here

http://www.3cx.com/support/call-history-updater.html

This does not work for me, the log says:

Log path = C:\Program Files (x86)\3CX PhoneSystem\Data\Logs\

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at CallHistoryUpdater.TimeZoneInformation.EnumZones()
at CallHistoryUpdater.TimeZoneInformation.get_CurrentTimeZone()
at CallHistoryUpdater.Program.Main(String[] args)

get the same error, windows 2008 server

I'm also running Windows 2008 Server

installed 3cx onto a 2003 server and get the same error as well.

Latteral thinking Matt. Outside the box so to speak.

Hello!

I'm new to 3CX but I'm doing the best I can. THe company that has provided us with 3CX told me that he has tried to setup Call Reporter but with no result.
I went over what he has done and I find that he has applied all settings as instructed. I have used CallHistoryUpdater but after that when I run Call Reporter I get nothing. No errors, no nothing. Just a blank Window with the usual menues.

Input ideas pleas!

I;m also facing the same issue. the callhistory.log is there and seems that the callhistory updater unable to update the database.

Anything else to check other than refreshing the database?

Re: Call Reporting utility pblm

Hi there,

i am experiencing problems with the call reports tools.

using cx3 V6.1, under W2k3.

Used the call report updater which returns this log file :

Log path = C:\Program Files\3CX PhoneSystem\Data\Logs\

La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet.
à CallHistoryUpdater.TimeZoneInformation.EnumZones()
à CallHistoryUpdater.TimeZoneInformation.get_CurrentTimeZone()
à CallHistoryUpdater.Program.Main(String[] args)

And when i launche the call report tool all charts remain empty.

what must i do ?

Thx a lot
