Call Script - Inbound DID Routing - No Audio issue

We have multiple DIDs that need to route to different Ring Groups or directly to specific extensions depending on which DID is called. The problem is that when calls come in, the routing works internally, but for the outside caller there is no audio at all—no ringing, just silence.


The only way I’ve been able to get any sound for the caller is by creating a separate Queue for each DID so the caller at least hears hold music. We’re on v20 Update 7.


Has anyone run into this, or have suggestions on how to fix the ringing/audio issue without having to use queues for every DID?

I will recommend opening a ticket for such an issue.

For the community to assist, please provide additional info at the very least -
which SIP provider, and are they using a standard template.
what end point devices (IP Phone, apps etc), models, firmware and how they are connected.
Have you made a packet capture during a call to see how audio flows?

Please open a ticket with 3CX for sure.
Also, your question is confusing (to me), as you can just add multiple DID numbers to one queue with no problem.
Please test this first, to exclude the problem of the script.
And why do you mention the internal routing works, DID is never internal ? What type of call-script are you talking about, and how did you set this up, based on all call on trunk, by DID, or internal number (i would guess this one, but why use internal number for external DID?).

If a call script is really being used for a case like this for incoming calls, then it will probably be the same issue as here.
