Call Transfer failed on 8.0.9532 & 8.0.9908 & 8.0.10116

Q:
1. Many people have had problems with call transfer failed. I thought I found a way to fix it here.... http://www.3cx.com/forums/fyi-how-to-fix-call-transfer-failed-problems-12021.html
But, the other day, before upgrading to the newest version, 8.0.9941.549, I removed all extensions from the ring group, like I found that seemed to work to get rid of "call transfer failed"..
My trick did not work.

I installed the newest bersion, it did not work.
It installed right, but the phone did not work.
So I did a restore from backup, and then it worked..

However, the call transfer failed thing kept happening, even with only one extension in the call group. Even an extension that has never actually been used.

I rebooted and it worked again.


Then today, my wife logged in, we were not getting any calls, so I tested, and it was doing the call transfer failed again. :evil:
I had her turn off her 3cx phone, then it started working again.
Had her open the 3cx voip phone.. It would do call transfer failed.
Had her exit it, it stopped. :roll:

So, I did not try my http://www.3cx.com/forums/fyi-how-to-fix-call-transfer-failed-problems-12021.html trick, this time i just rebooted...
After reboot, then even with her phone on, it was, and is still, working. :mrgreen:


So.. Should I just reboot a few times a day? :mrgreen:




Also, When auto update is set in Call attendant, it keeps doing a pop up every 5 or 10 min, saying 3cx is up to date.

I am on 4.09878.0

Also, if one extension is in one call group, and if you put them in the next call group, their phone will not ring...

Also, today, my wife's line is in the first ring group and the second. Her phone never rang, but mine did. We are both on tunnel.

I am only in the second call group.
First call group is set to "ring all".
Second call group is set to "Hunt".

I hope this info helps. This is working better than it ever has and it is an amazing system! GREAT WORK GUYS AND GIRLS! 8)

BTW... I right click on 3CXPhone.exe and do Run as, and I can run multiple phones at same time.. (I just set up a new profile, because it seems to get confused...) Anyway, it would be kinda cool, to have multiple phones open. It seemed to work fine.

Yes, without the tunnel, the 3CX phone will not work right on my system. I think the caller can not hear us AnD oR we get NO incoming calls or something like that.

And yes, , the 3CX system has passed all firewall tests.

Thankyou. I will try it without tunnel to see why it does not work. (I do not remember.. But the VOIP IP changed a while ago, so the tunnel stopped working until I messed with some things.. So we did try no tunnel)

Or better yet, is there any thing i can do to help you find out why the tunnel is messing up?
I know you guys like a perfect system and if I can help, let me know. You can log in via remote desktop if you want too.
I will PM you the info.

OK, I set up two computers off of tunnel, and tested some calls.
Amazingly they work fine so far.

I am looking through my emails to see what the problem was before..

I do not think Call.exe will get the caller ID for the second line, but it might..

Let me know how the second line thing works..

It worked for me.



The new version, 3CXVoIPPhone4_9646.msi (Check yours 9646) locked up once for Cali already..



Make sure you tell me each time it locks up or there is a problem.



Only the NEW version, 9646, does multiple lines.

People complaining delay, increase overtime, getting cut in and out Lagged out on me and couldn't hear client, hung up. It says I was still on the call, still says it now.

Try aging..
Remember, sometimes with Tunnel on, you cannot hear when you call an internal number.
Test with cell phone.

If no one got any rings from this missed call and if everyone is on http://www.3cx.com/downloads/3CXVoIPPhone3.msi and if EVERYONE IS ON TUNNEL, (hint, make sure your shit on tunnel), then I will make a change on the server to "Hunt" for an available tech..
In other words, if you see a VM come though and you were not on the phone, and the fucker did not ring, LET ME KNOW..

Also, from today, I was on the phone for about 50 min. I got 2 or 3 voicemails. My phone never rang on the second line, And, Yes, I do have "Use Phone status" checked under General fowarding, Busy Mecanisum..
