Hello all,

I have a client who wants to set up an IVR like this:

"Welcome to our company.
If you know the extension please dial it, if not, wait for the operator."

So basically he wants that the caller dials the extension and if not go to secretary (ring group).

Is this possible with 3CX Phone System?

Thank you.

Hi,

yes, by default when you hear IVR (digital receptionist in 3cx), you can press local extension number and you will be routed to that extenion... or if you wait you can be redirect to secretary or something else (ring group, queue...)

Absolutely - that's basically the default behaviour. You configure the options in the IVR to route the call to reception if a valid extension number isn't entered.

Yes as mixg stated by default you have the option to dial in an extension in the IVR as well as pick the options ie 1 for sales 2 for support etc..... We actually have our system setup similarly though after 2 rings our IVR picks up.

Thanks everyone. It works.
I didn't realize that it is the basic function in the IVR.
Thank you.
