Caller ID Displayed to Users

Hi All,
Customer has multiple companies running with different Inbound DID's (the names of the Inbound rules are the Company Names) and then from there different ring groups for users to recieve calls etc.
On the standard display settings from Advanced - Contacts - Options the choice is None, Append or Prepend which returns either
None = Contact Name / Number
Append = Contact Name / Number - DDI Name - Group Name
Prepend = Group Name- DDI Name - Contact Name / Number
What is required is complete control over these fields so we can mix and match.
What the customer wants is just
DDI Name - Contact Name / Number

Is this possible?

Hi Pete,

This controls the setting globally, so ti will apply to all internal destinations.

The PBX treats all the extensions as a single organization.

I'm fine it being applied globaly but can it be changed to what is required - as opposed to the options that 3CX supply?

No, unfortunately the options are only the ones you see there.

What can help potentially is naming the inbound rules you have to something useful, so the inbound rule name appears when the phone rings. (DDI Name)

That's already been done if you check the original post ... We just want to get rid of redundant info for the end user.

I know its not the best solution but please have in mind that Inbound rules names can be kept empty and you can name ring groups with really short names to simplify what is displayed.

Yep I know that .. I'll chat with customer to get something a bit better.
As I said I'll raise it as a request as I think what the phone displays to the end user should be what each company requires - Obviously within reason.
I think the fieds available are fine just the order and option to display for each one would be fantastic.
It's a great product that's constently having more features / improvements added - I hope this could be one of them??
