Caller ID Format

Hey guys i'm trying to locate the format for caller id. I'm migrating from FreePbx so i'm used to using

“Joe Smith” <2095551212>

which in return displays the name and number.

I can get the number to populate using the outbound caller id, but cannot figure out how to set and push the name.

It would help to know what country are in. In the US, you can't push CID name (well you might be able to on-net but not off-net). In Canada you can.

You can probably set the CNAM on your provider's system. 3CX has a hard time with CID/CNAM manipulation.

Who's your provider? We are in Canada too.

Depending on the provider, I have found that even the name, put into the calling device (phone) may be sent with the number. Whether or not that name is "respected" all the way to each and every destination, is another matter.
