Hello All,
I have a client running a dedicated 3CX box from their main office. They also have a satellite office (just 2 users) in another state. The remote extensions work well, but the satellite users are upset that the Caller ID number being sent is the main office number, instead of the local DID we assigned their satellite office. (changing the outbound caller ID in extension settings has no affect).

The VOIP carrier claims to support the custom caller ID capability, but I've had no luck making it work. Short of installing a new 3cx box in the satellite offices, can anyone offer any suggestions? The client would possibly consider a dedicated trunk for the satellite office, how would I dedicate a new trunk to the satellite extensions?

Thanks in advance for any assistance...

OK, I'll answer my own question...

I created a second trunk with the client's VOIP carrier. Created an outbound rule whereby the remote extensions used the new trunk for their outgoing calls. New trunk was given an appropriate Caller ID to transmit. Works like a shot...
